    Les Miles

I see Michigan got permission to talk with Les. If he goes to Michigan (which I believe he will) I will now predict and you can mark it down.

    Re: Les Miles

You could be right but I doubt the Tigers would wish to hire a 63 year old head coach and possibly have to go through the hiring process again in a few years. I suspect they'll stay in house and hire their defensive coordinator Bo Pellini who is a hot commodity in his own right. If they don't, it's very possible Pellini will leave Baton Rouge to be a head coach, perhaps at his former school Nebraska.

I have a feeling that Bo will be gone before Les.

If Turner Gill doesn't get that job at Nebraska, the blacks are going to go through he roof. Mark May was already bitching about it today on ESPN. Folks are mad because Texas A&M didn't hire a black head coach instead of Mike Sherman.

    Re: Les Miles

Pellini would be an excellant fit at Nebraska. Get back that hard core, smash-mouth football. Loved the way they and Oklahoma used to run the option. Remember when Oklahoma and Nebraska would be "the game of the week" and it would be on without any games on to rival it? How times have changed. Doubt that the "flex-bone" would be used but Pellini would bring back that swagger back to Nebraska. Now that Osbourne (sp) is now a "coach," Nebraska will be back in a couple of years.

Nope, old Dr. Tom is a shadow over the head of whomever gets the job.

Would you want a job where the former coach is your boss and is popular enough to be elected to Congress? Granted Tom is Nebraska football, but IMO he should have nothing to do with the program.

    Re: Les Miles

That is an excellant point, he is a coach at Buffalo, right? I believe they actually won 5 games this year. He has definately has turned that program around. If it came down to it, I believe Gill will get the job, not because he is black, but because of the success he has had at Buffalo.
